“ The Idol had already garnered controversy
on the heels of a March report in Rolling Stone
that dubbed it 'torture porn' and detailed a collection of troubles
amid production, citing multiple insiders. Lily-Rose Depp placed on a
very leggy display as she stepped out at the The Idol premiere afterparty amid Cannes Movie Festival on Monday.
In the meantime, Deadline's Damon Wise referenced the
previous controversies over the series, noting that in a case of life imitating artwork,
the crazy scenes surrounding the premiere would not have been out of
place on the screen in a story that, no less than so far as anybody may tell, is a satire on the sensation-saturated world of
contemporary pop tradition, the place good is bad and dangerous is the bare minimum'.
Earlier within the day, Lily had placed on an equally glamorous show as she stepped out for The Idol's premiere alongside The Weeknd, also known as
Abel Tesfaye. ”
